Welcome to the February edition of VS Code update for Java. Spring is approaching. It’s a season for refreshing, no exception to VS Code. In this edition, we will present you with our experiment of a new Welcome Page and re-designed icons. We hope you like the new looking and more importantly, enjoy the upcoming Spring season. Let’s start.


I thought you were mocking them but nope, this the actual opening paragraph of a corporate announcement post. Do they not have enough money for editors or technical writers anymore?


I think these days most companies just don't care. The quality of writing (news/blogs/articles/etc) has gone down since digital media has been the go to way making information available. Honestly, it costs almost nothing to re-edit a piece on a site like this where as printing a million copies to hand out at a trade show and the like has some cost to it.


It's a dev blog, not a corporate announcement. I personally found it informative and I'm looking forward to using it.


The MS dev blog main page says "Get the latest information, insights, announcements, and news from Microsoft." . That sentence means these are "corporate announcements". But if I work with Java again I'll at least give these tools a try.
