Yeah. But it seems to be something I should do but never actually do, so I figured I'd ask randoms if they had a similar experience so I could try to use that data as evidence to convince my actual self to finally go through the "schedule an appointment" process.
Apple is so intent on making the Apple Watch a catch-all that it doesn’t necessarily do any specific activity amazingly. After three Apple Watches over many years I finally sold my 10 last year and won’t be buying another. I bought a Coros and am pretty pleased with it, would consider a Garmin in the future. Coros and Garmin devices are built with activity in mind and not unneeded apps, like Uber. Garmin and Coros both have maps too.
With Garmin you have to pay attention to the model though. E.g. cheaper Forerunners, Instinct, etc. do not support maps, though some support breadcrumb trail navigation. Then there are some models that do not support it, but have third party apps that add maps. For the models that do (e.g. Fenix, Venu X1, high-end forerunners), it is glorious though. There is a large community making specialized maps (typically based on OpenStreetMap) for Garmin Watches and GPSr units. Installation is typically as easy as dropping an .img file in the right folder on the Watch/GPSr.
Also Garmin's own maps are based on OpenStreetMap and have become pretty good.
Also worth mentioning (probably the same with Coros) that these are offline maps, so they always work, and you typically install them for a whole continent.
And I am happy with my Huawei GT-6 41mm. Looks like an actual real watch unlike the Apple ones, does everything Apple does, just no third party apps. Guess what, never needed one.
Battery lasts a week instead of a day. Very refreshing to end the day with 91% battery left rather than 11%.
> a GPU which costs as much as a car must read its entire VRAM just to output a word sounds incredibly wasteful
Kind of how I feel about Bitcoin at this point. The coins take so incredibly long to mine if you aren't in a pool that it could cost hundreds of dollars in electricity to own a fraction of the coin months later.
> Incessant nit picking, negativity and doubt casting is my issue.
That has unfortunately been very common internet culture since 2020. It was there before the pandemic, but post-pandemic internet never recovered its full whimsy and veered headfirst into a depressive state. Probably says something about everyone's general mood.
If I was struck by an autonomous vehicle while riding in the bike lane I would sue and sue like I was taking aim at a corporation rather than an individual driver. I -or my partner, assuming I died- would retire very early on that money.
I forget the timeline of events but the school bombing was within a very short timeframe of the announcement - a short enough timeframe that no rip and replace could have happened yet.
Personal theory: Possibly the Great Attractor has something to do with a very large collection of dark matter - potentially dark matter galaxies. Hard to say though until we figure out how to see that section of space.
There no reason to believe dark matter had anything to do with the Great Attractor, it's just that we can't see it due to it being on the other side of the galaxy what makes it great
Read into it. Large amounts of dark matter fall into the one of several theories presented by the professionals as what could be causing the phenomenon.
It was also indefensible. A few years back she campaigned on prosecuting pedophiles and, well, as AG she refused to do that. She went as far as protecting them.
Republicans simply don’t use words the same way others do. If you say you like flowers in the garden you mean they should be there. If they say they like flowers in the garden, they mean they would like to be paid to control whether they are there.
We’re not that deep. One is bad enough. Biden was not senile or a pedophile. That was an obvious attempt to rub smear off of Trump. We do comprehend the existence of propaganda, it’s just that we can’t do anything about it anymore than you can.
I can't believe you are making me defend this guy.
It is creepy as shit and I wouldn't allow him near my kids, but there is a very specific legal definition of pedophile and looking isn't the same as touching. It dilutes the term when you use it the wrong way.
> Pedophilia is defined as a sexual interest in prepubescent children.
When they touch them they're not a pedophile, they're a pedophile molester or a pedophile rapist. It has adds an additional word.
He likes looking at children in states of undress. He's a pedophile.
And, if dozens of people are to be believed across multiple lawsuits and 30,000 files at the FBI he's going to literal war to hide, he's a pedophile rapist too.
>It is creepy as shit and I wouldn't allow him near my kids, but there is a very specific legal definition of pedophile and looking isn't the same as touching. It dilutes the term when you use it the wrong way.
Then why wouldn't you allow him near your kids? If he isn't legally speaking a pedophile, what would you be worried about?
If it were the case that "looking isn't the same as touching", child porn wouldn't be illegal. Trump is a pedophile because he's attracted to underage girls, he isn't not a pedophile if he looks but doesn't touch.
And there is a mountain of (granted circumstantial) evidence from the Epstein files that have been released to suggest he's probably done more than just look.
He's already been found liable for sexual assault, and I don't doubt a case for pedophilia could stick if the standard is beyond a reasonable doubt - he drew a picture of a naked girl on a birthday card for Epstein FFS. Just his conspiracy to keep the Epstein files hidden and protect anyone culpable (in his party) alone would put him in jail until he died if SCOTUS hadn't decided that anything a sitting President did while in office was legal.
Unfortunately he's going to die a free and wealthy man, and be buried with honors. All we can hope is that he does it soon and that he soils himself on the way out.
Republicans have been following their overtly pro-pedophilia agenda for a while now. Bondi didn't hear from any victim, she failed to protect them and censor their informations in the files, while putting extra care in hiding the pedophile oligarchs that abused them.
A new hurdle the VR market will be facing is that Meta bought and burned the Oculus brand, one of the most well-known VR brands in the market. Will be curious to see how the market performs if Meta completely abandons Oculus headset production.
We'll see how it plays out, but Valve is set to release a standalone PC VR headset (that can also pair to a PC for added horsepower). Apparently their software allows it to run Android and Windows VR (and classic) applications. If this space is viable then that sounds like the right feature set to prove it.
